Deus Ex Machina is not complete yet it's missing 2 or 3 chapters then I will move on to another topic in music, but I wanted to share my thoughts on what I wrote and the symbology behind the use of angels and UFO's.

In my mind the metophor of the angels in the artwork symbolize religion, if you look at the cover it is a multi armed angel.  Angels are a part of most of the world's religions and the multiple arms is a reference to Hindu gods so in essence the multi armed angel that is now STOB's new crest signifies all religions and none at the same time.  I am an agnostic, I see this world and reality and don't understand the how or why but I do believe there is design even though you can attribute that design to a creator the question has to be asked who created the creator, and if the answer is no one...I say that is not an answer that is why I am an agnostic.  As an agnostic, I believe something is going on but I have no idea what....I have way too many questions but I respect the beliefs of those that have faith in any religion and also those that believe that there is no higher power or soul, we are just skin and bones.   But religion can be used as a tool by manipulative people, it is not the religion most times but the people behind it that cause wars and so forth...sort of like the philosphy of it's not the gun but the person pulling the trigger.  Religion is used because it stirs men's hearts and souls, very few things in this world can do that, and that is why manipulative individuals throughout history use it as a tool to accomplish goals that are usually antithetical to what the religions are about.  The difference between now and past history is at the present we have the abilities to blow ourselves up many times over and that is where the UFO's come in.  The UFO's in my mind symbolize technology which like religion is just a loaded gun and can do no wrong on it's own for the most part unless the people behind it use it for that purpose.   I don't  believe in religious prophesies of the end of the world, all this play on dates and so forth is kind of funny to me...like when the year 2000 came around the apocalypse mongers were all crammering for the end...now the latest prophesy is 2012 because it is the end of the Mayan calender.  All of this is nonsense, these are just dates, numbers that have no meaning, the world is not just one calender but many, for example other cultures like the Chinese have a completely different calender, do they matter less in this world or are less in tune? No of course not there are over 1 billion chinese in this world which is a huge chunk of global population.  But I do think this world is in for a huge upheaval, not because of prophesies but because of choices.
