I'm still working on getting myself together on that. I know that there isn't really a point to writing the lyrics and music since were a lost cause, as usual. I don't know what guitar or amp Chainsaw Charlie uses when he plays. Dunno what they use. I write everything. We're just a lost cause, and I know we'll never make it in the musical world, but kids have dreams right?

I think one of the most important things in a band is the sound. Here's a list of the gear that I use for live shows:
Gibson Les Paul
ErnieBall strings
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier
Tc Electronics Fireworxs
Tc Electronics 2290
Eventide Eclipse
DBX 266 xl
Line 6 dl4
Electro harmonix
ErnieBall Volume pedal
Is there anyone that uses some of the same gear that I use?
Tell me what you think about the brands listed above!!!

I'm not a professional by any means, I'm just a laid back hobbyist guitarist or closet guitarist. Whichever. lol.
I have an old Univox Clear bodied Strat I bought in 1987, it was a factory 2nd due to some cracks in the body during assembly. Still has a great tone. Most of those back in the day had hand wound pickups. I also have an old Univox U65RD amplifier that my Dad bought me in 1977. This also has a great sound and is in tip-top shape for how old it is. Try one out sometime, it may just surprise you how nice they sound. And acoustic-wise I have a Garrison AG-200, its the cheapest model they make, but I love the projection of sound it throws. This company was just bought up buy Gibson...go check out how they are made. (fiberglass-frame inside) REALLY cool.
And for pedals a DOD American Metal (purple one) and a Digitech RP-200. I have other mixed match shit, but those are my mainstays. PEACE!!

David I have posted some pics of the Strat for all to take a look at. The neck that is currrently on it was installed 1997, the original neck (which I still have) needs fret work done. This neck will be removed when I'm finished with it and I have redone the frets on the other. (someday..lol) The current neck has 22 jumbo frets and was bought through Musician's Friend back in the day when they still sold necks. And was installed by a local guitar techie I know. This old guitar has never let me down. Only down side is it weighs 11 lbs. Its quite heavy to the newbie, but I am use to it. Still strains the shoulder after a couple hours though. PEACE!!

Personally, I use a combination of TRAXXPAD on the Sony PSP and the GarageBand software programs to write, edit, and mix my own beats and songs.

It's amazing what I've been able to do with just TRAXXPAD alone. I've recorded vocal samples, added them into the beat sequences that I've arranged, mixed, and edited using the MIDI-based program, and I'm learning how to use the live-jam part of the program (works like a dj turn-table, all in a portable form). Combined with an amp (still need to get one myself), a portable stereo, or karaoke machine using an MP3 audio cable, I can create and play my own music anywhere I go.

When things get really complicated with TRAXXPAD, that's when I use GarageBand to upload the sequences I've created to MP3, and place them into the other program. Anyone who knows GarageBand knows what it can do, and it helps me create better songs with more complex beats, and I can add additional vocals to my songs. Plus, adding effects to my beats also helps from time to time.

It's amazing what we can do with even the smallest piece of technology nowadays.

In the near future this page is going to be much more developed....
So feel free to start the conversations, ask your questions and hopefully we can all help each other out.
